Vegetarian Fish Curry (Besan Ki Machali)

Ingrideints:


1. Besan -1cup
2. Onion -2
3. Green chilli -1
4. Tomatoes -2
5. Red chilli powder -1tsp
6. Garam masala -1tsp
7. Turmeric powder -1tsp
8. Cumin seeds -1tsp
9. Coriander powder -1tsp
10.Mustard seeds -soaked 2tsp
11.Hing -1pinch
12.Cloves-4
13.Bay leaf-1
14.Salt to taste
15.Kasoori methi -1tsp
16.Curd -2tbsp
17.Mustard oil -as per requirement
18.Coriander leaves

Method:


1. Take 1tsp mustard seeds into grinder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds, garlic,onion, ginger, tomatoes and make a smooth paste and keep aside.

2. Take besan in a bowl and chopped onion, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, salt and mix well. 

3. Now add water and make a batter of flowing consistency. Not much thick nor too much thin, it should be medium portable.

4. Then heat 2tbsp oil in kadhai.

5. Put besan batter in the kadhai and keep stirring till it becomes little dry. 

6. Now switch off the flame and pour the besan mixture in greased plate.

7. Once it cools down cut besan into square pieces. 

8. Now heat oil for deep frying and when the oil is heated put besan pieces one by one and fry till light golden brown. 

9. Remove all fried pieces and keep aside in a plate. 

10.Take another pan and put 2tbsp oil. 

11.Then put cumin seeds, bay leaf, cardamom  dal chini,cloves and saute. 

12.Add chopped onion and fry till onion turn light brown. 

13.Put grinded paste and stir 3-4mins.

14.Add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala.

15.Now add beaten curd and cook well. 

16.Put water as per requirement for gravy and cook well. 

17.Then add besan pieces and cook for 5-6 mins.

18.Sprinkle kasoori methi and cook. 

19.Sprinkle fresh coriander leaves and serve with rice and parantha.
