Ingrideints 

1. All purpose flour -500gm
2. Ghee -1/2cup
3. Jaggery -250gm
4. Fennel seeds -1tsp
5. Cooking oil for deep frying 
6.Water

Method 

1. Take a large mixing bowl and add ghee mixture until you get coarse crumbs like texture and the ghee starts to hold the flour together. At this point add little bit water and knead it to make a firm dough. 

2. Divide the dough in four parts and roll each portion of the dough into a half an inch thick round circle. Cut them into vertical strips and then into 2-3inch long strips. 

3. In a kadhai heat oil for deep frying on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the cut dough strips and fry until slightly golden brown and crisp. 

4. Drain them on a kitchen towel and allow them to cool a bit. 

5. In another heavy bottom pan, add chopped or grated jaggery. On a low flame allow it to melt, stirring continuously all the time  

6. Cook till attain the consistency where you add a drop of jaggery into the cool water and it solidifies. 

7. At this point add fennel seeds and mix properly  

8. Turn off the flame and add strips to the jaggery syrup. Mix quickly using two ladles so that all the strips are evenly coated with the syrup 

9. Now transfer gur paare onto tray cool completely. Once completely cool separate the strips carefully. 

10.Store them in a airtight container.Serve it.
